If the Principality has written its history in connection with the Mediterranean and beyond, whether through its topography, the oceanographic campaigns of Prince Albert I or more recently the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, this exhibition brings together nearly 30 contemporary national and international artists in support of the "Year of the Sea". Conceived by Elodie Antoine, exhibition curator, this journey begins with landscapes of infinite blue before plunging into the fascination of the depths. Between the bathers of the coast and the open sea, a central node then emerges: the danger that threatens the seas and oceans. Presented by the Department of Cultural Affairs and scenographed by Thomas Guillaume, costume designer of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the exhibition aims to raise public awareness of global warming, through works that resonate with the ecological emergency.
