The festival The Piano Nights of Aix-en-Provence is ready for an exciting new year. Since 1993, it has been a prestigious cultural event that ranks among the major summer events in the Southern Region. It enlivens the cultural life of the city and its surroundings in its own unique way. Since its founding by Michel Bourdoncle, a world-renowned pianist, now the Festival's artistic director, it has offered a program of high-quality recitals and concerts. The festival is also open to the outside world, having spread to other countries, such as China, Germany, Romania, Moldova, etc. Recitals, chamber music, and evenings with orchestra will enliven the 2025 edition of the Festival. It will take place from Tuesday, July 29 to Saturday, August 9, 2025, and will be held in l'Auditorium Campra, at the Conservatory Darius Milhaud. With its exceptional acoustic setting and 500 seats, it allows for a close relationship with music. For its thirty-third edition, the program focuses on the different genres and groups revolving around the piano, whether it be piano recital, concert piano, or piano duo. Internationally renowned teachers, in the framework the Academy of Aix-en-Provence Piano Nights, open since 2006, will provide advice, not only to pianists in training, but also to trainees in instrumental disciplines requested over the course of its editions: violin, cello, guitar, flute, clarinet, etc.Its particularity is that it takes place during the summer part of the Festival, in order to immerse the trainees in a great bath of live music. The Auditorium Campra is the ideal and formative framework for the end-of-course concert, all classes and instrumental disciplines mixed.
