The Convent's open-air café, a chic summer spot

A hectare of terraced gardens is hidden in the heart of Old Nice, yet no one on the street suspects a thing. The Guinguette de l'Hôtel du Couvent plays the card of total discretion, that of a summer restaurant hidden like a secret, accessible from the hotel terraces, outside of time and bustle.

The cuisine follows the rhythm of the garden and the seasons: sea bass tartare with confit tomatoes, tuna carpaccio, zucchini blossom fritters, amberjack in a crisp salad, swordfish with grilled asparagus. Everything is cooked over a wood fire: vegetables from the garden, produce from the Notre-Dame farm, and the expertise of local producers. Even the bread comes from the oven of the Convent's historic bakery.

For dessert, homemade ice cream sundae, rhubarb tart or French toast with roasted fruit give an unforgettable touch to these summer evenings.
