For 50 years, the London jeweler has been delighting women with its precious Papillon Graff motif. Its iconic silhouette, constantly reinvented, hasn't aged a day. Happy anniversary!
It all began in 1975… The jewelry house unveiled what would become one of its emblems, the Graff Butterfly, on elegant pendants. Since this first appearance, the motif has continued to metamorphose, following the spirit of the times and inspirations. Enhancing fine jewelry creations, the butterfly has also landed on everyday pieces, capturing the delicacy of the insect, a symbol of hope, freedom, and beauty. Today, the Graff Butterfly is also recognized as the representation of transformation and emancipation, seducing new generations. And over time, the insect has spread its wings across all collections, including, since 2013, the house's delicate watches.
Shimmering Winged Ballet
To mark his 50th birthdaye anniversary, a series of High Jewelry sets perfectly illustrates its expertise in precious stones. Crafted in the Graff workshop in Mayfair, London, one of the key pieces of this collection is a necklace composed of an arc of paved emeralds in a snow setting. At the heart of this masterpiece, a 5,04-carat emerald-cut diamond catches the light, from which blossoms a kaleidoscope of scintillating butterflies. While they appear to have been placed here and there, their arrangement has, in fact, been meticulously orchestrated by artistic director Anne Eva Geffroy to ensure balance and harmony. Each butterfly seems irresistibly drawn to the beauty of the central stone. This sumptuous necklace is complemented by earrings paved with emeralds and diamonds and surrounded by a ballet of wings. Other wonders? The Butterfly necklace in emerald-cut diamonds of various shapes totaling 68,93 carats, complemented by earrings. Or a set consisting of a necklace, bracelet, and earrings, sparkling with pear-cut, oval, and round-paved diamonds. Stunning!
