"And houses, roads, avenues, are fleeting, alas! like the years," wrote Marcel Proust in The SwannTime flies in urban spaces, which, like people, are transformed over the years. But what did the streets and towns of Carros look like 40 years ago? It is with joy and emotion that we discover here the photographs of six artists who captured the social and architectural essence of this "new town" in 1983, commissioned by Maisons Phénix. This photographic exploration is presented in dialogue with works from contemporary artist residencies and photographs from the CIAC collection by Suzanne Hetzel.
