Architects play a decisive role in making our region attractive and economically dynamic. Working on private and public spaces alike, they help to define the way we live together and how we imagine our future. Because of this, and because spotlighting Riviera excellence is a vocation for both of them, SACA and COTE Magazine created the ArchiCOTE competition to reward each year’s most outstanding projects. It highlights the diversity of architectural achievements on the Côte d’Azur, with awards in the following categories: Private Dwelling, Group Housing, Less is More, Transformation, Heritage, Completed Amenity and Project with Planning Permission. This year’s Jury Prize goes to Pierre Louis Faloci. The panel of judges, composed mainly of architects but embracing a number of disciplines, assesses each entry on precise criteria. First they make sure the project is truly contemporary and complies with the specifications, then they assess the boldness of the project, the architect’s self-imposed quality requirements, how the building fits into its surroundings, the quality of the finished result and the accuracy of the presentation panel.
