For the Baselworld show some watches had dressed up to the nines. We suggest three elegant candidates for accessorising your tuxedo or evening gown.

Hublot
Couture kudos.

Sporting a 41mm power case and driven by the HUB1110 automatic movement, the ceramic Big Bang Sugar Skull embellishes its all-black look with 36 red spinels on the bezel plus a dial and strap decorated with colourful embroidery.

Jaquet Droz
Black magic.

The Grande Seconde Off-Centred Onyx flaunts an intense black face. Revisited thus, the concept developed by Pierre Jaquet-Droz back in the 18th century proves it has weathered the centuries well, here in a 43mm steel case. The winding crown placed at 4 o’clock adds a dynamic touch.

Chanel

Love at first sight.
Chanel’s new icon states its intentions in its name: Boy-Friend! The small or medium octagonal case has donned a casual-chic outfit of plain or gem-set steel with a black guilloché dial. The understated design demonstrates the art of feminising the male wardrobe, as embraced by Gabrielle Chanel.
