The Chanel J12 watch has got everything going for it, a touch of irreverence, sporty chic and prêt-à-porter. Happy anniversary!
Two decades after its launch, the J12 still beguiles time and again. Borne out by the watch with its in-house calibre 12.1 self-winding movement being awarded a prize in the Ladies category at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2019.
Like its big sister the Première, which embodies the 80s, the J12 is a potted version of the decade it springs from. In 2000, women were playing with sleek, avant-garde lines. The J12 arrived in black high-tech ceramic with contrasting white indices,
all set for the new millennium. Three years later, Chanel came back with a reverse colour version, a total white look with touches of black. Scratch-proof and ultra-resistant, the iconoclastic material made it the talk of the town. The J12 is fast becoming a generation’s must-have, not to mention their parents... Out of stock worldwide.
Black & White
For 20 years, it has revealed its many facets, navigating towards haute joaillerie and haute horlogerie… Never forgetting to stay "fashionable"! Always in tune with the times, keeping up with trends, revisited in matt black and as cufflinks. Today, here it is indulging in a festive wardrobe.
The J12.20 commandeers 20 symbols dear to Chanel in a limited edition of 2,020 pieces: the camellia,
N° 5 bottle, even the 2.55 bag, all feature on the dial, sublimated with 12 diamonds. For evening, it dons its mantle of light with a precious enamel version, in a numbered edition of 5 pieces. Do you want to be part of it? Visit the social networks (#J12Turns20#ItsAllAboutSeconds #CHANELWatches).
