Figurative art is on the rise, and Charline Bourcier, previously seen at Lola Gassin's, returns to Nice on the two floors of the Maison abandonnée. There, between the vintage pink wallpaper and the decrepit blue walls of the villa—which celebrates its 100th anniversary this month—the PhD student in visual arts at Aix-Marseille University has displayed her black and white charcoal drawings and her acrylic paintings in psychedelic tones. In this surreal and silent world, the empty chairs and armchairs we pass, somewhere between industrial wasteland and mining site, echo ecological issues. The plus: the artist's research on the history of Cameline. Happy 100th!
Until October 18, 2025, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 15 p.m. to 18:30 p.m. and by appointment, and Thursday, October 9 from 18 p.m. to 22 p.m. to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Villa Cameline.
