From August 29 to 31, 2025, the Friche la Belle de Mai hosts the anniversary edition of Art-o-rama, the international contemporary art fair that has become a must-see during the cultural season. Since its creation, the event has established itself as a dynamic crossroads between galleries, artists, designers, and publishers, with a strong focus on emerging creation. This year, 65 exhibitors from 15 countries will take over the fair's aisles, with a large focus on new works, specially created for the occasion. Marseille confirms its growing appeal: the local scene is more assertive than ever, with 30% French galleries (including two from Marseille), a 60% French Publishing section, and a 100% Marseille Design section. The city's creative effervescence shines. Among the highlights: a vibrant tribute to Roger Pailhas, a major figure in contemporary art in Marseille, 20 years after his death. A daring gallery owner and founder of the ART DEALERS fair, he instilled a pioneering spirit in the city's artistic events. This edition is dedicated to him, in partnership with New York gallery owner Gabrielle Bryers. Art-o-rama 2025 is also part of an exceptional Private Tour through the Plein Sud network, connecting prestigious institutions in the south of France: Carré d'Art in Nîmes, Fondation Luma in Arles, Villa Carmignac in Porquerolles... A true journey to the heart of contemporary art. The Prix Région Sud continue to showcase emerging talent. In 2025, designer Zoé Saudrais and artist Moye•Cassandra Naigre will be honored, alongside previous winners, in dedicated showrooms. More than a fair, Art-o-rama has become a truly international platform, vibrant, committed, and resolutely forward-looking.
