“My father, a pharmacy technician, passed on his passion for health and well-being to me at a very early age. When I left school, he would welcome me into his laboratory to show me, with patience and pride, how he made his masterful preparations, mixing powders, oils, and active ingredients in his mortar. These simple but precious moments had a profound impact on my childhood. Since then, I have always known that I would follow in his footsteps one day and honor what he passed on to me,” Yousra Mekhazni recounts with emotion. The six years devoted to the creation and development of her laboratory coincided with the slow deterioration of her father's health, who suffered from a premature neurodegenerative disease. It was a painful period, marked by a great duality: the patient construction of his dream and the gradual disappearance of the man who had passed this enthusiasm on to him. “The day he was finally able to visit the lab, his eyes and brain, already damaged, could no longer fully perceive what I had accomplished. Yet, deep down, I knew that I was realizing the dream he had always nurtured within me. His strength, his kind demands, and his unconditional love were my driving forces. It is for him and thanks to him that I persevered,” says the manager.
Daughters proud of their mother
"I never thought that after six years of business, we would have this level of success. We had the honor of receiving the LCI yellow jersey during the 2024 Tour de France, a strong recognition of our leadership, our capacity for innovation and our commitment to CSR. For me, growth only makes sense if it is part of respect for people and the environment. I can't imagine having a solid company without fulfilled staff," says Yousra, who has a professional thesis in Management Systems Integration and who manages her SME with a human-centric strategy, without hierarchical levels between herself and the engineers. For this mompreneur absorbed by work, the few moments that remain are the opportunity for family activities: "I love cooking and dancing with my daughters, it is an immense joy to share these hobbies with them. My husband, a chartered accountant, is as busy as I am; So my mom helps us a lot. Behind every successful woman, there is also potentially her super mom!
Cosmetic inspirations
"Today, consumers are looking for naturalness in addition to effectiveness, and natural products must not be less effective," says Yousra Mekhazni, head of Inspirations Cosmétiques. Thanks to extensive raw material sourcing and formulation work carried out by specialized chemical engineers and biologists, the company creates tailor-made products for B48B brands, which can be found at major retailers nationally and beyond. This is the case for the XNUMX-hour effective organic deodorant, sold in millions of units in Europe, as well as alcohol-free perfumes, facial cleansers, masks, serums, and other makeup products. These ranges of solid cosmetics are now complemented by new liquid formulations developed by the Grasse-based laboratory.
