How to get a teenager off their phone? This is a daily challenge for thousands of parents. The Les Parleuses bookstore in Nice offers a simple solution: a free book club that brings together 11- to 15-year-olds one Saturday morning per month.
The concept focuses on sharing rather than obligation. For 90 minutes, teenagers discuss a theme in a friendly atmosphere, far from school orders and incessant notifications. Anouk and Maud, the booksellers, designed this event as a space where reading becomes a collective pleasure rather than an imposed chore.
The next session will take place on Saturday, October 11th, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration is by email, phone, or private message on Instagram. We applaud this initiative, which is of public utility.
