What if you rediscovered Marseille through your lens? The Euroméditerranée Photo Marathon returns this Saturday, April 11, 2026 with a an unprecedented journey which promises to change the way we look at the city. This year, the focus is on Euroméditerranée 2, a territory undergoing a complete transformation, now connected to the city centre by tram.
The principle remains simple, and just as effective: for a few hours, participants roam the city in teams, smartphone or camera in hand, with a mission: capture the momentFour themes, revealed along the way, give rhythm to this unique urban stroll. Here, you don't need to be an experienced photographer: all you need is a curious eye and a little imagination.
The route itself holds some delightful surprises. Between iconic landmarks and more secluded spaces, it invites you to explore both Euroméditerranée 1 and its new extension. Revitalized brownfield sites, contemporary architecture, vibrant living spaces… all these settings reveal another facet of Marseille, a city in constant motion.
Everything happens live: photos are shared on Instagram as they are taken, and a jury selects its favorites throughout the day. The prizes include a few well-chosen awards, and above all, the satisfaction of having captured the city in a unique way. A fifth category will extend the online competition, with a People's Choice Award.
More than just a competition, the Photo Marathon fosters a friendly atmosphere. Participants can join with family, friends, or even solo (teams are formed on-site), before gathering in the late afternoon for a shared experience. It's a fun way to explore Marseille in a new light, combining a treasure hunt with a creative perspective.
