From October 16th until March 8th, the Blachère Foundation in Bonnieux presents Otherwise I'll forget.A sensitive and vibrant exhibition that explores memory as a living, fragile, and shared territory. Between archives and contemporary creations, the exhibition pays homage to the pioneers of Malian and African photography from the 1960s and 1970s, while creating a dialogue between these foundational perspectives and those of 36 contemporary artists.
Iconic studios, street scenes, festive nights, sculptures, and contemporary images converse in a staging that transforms the mundane into everyday poetry. A journey through time and emotions, where past and present intertwine to celebrate what connects us and what, perhaps, we might risk forgetting.
On the first floor of the art center, Emmanuel Tussore has been given free rein with We left at dawnextending this intimate reflection on memory, movement and collective narratives.
