From September 9th to 13th, Lumexplore transforms La Ciotat into a life-sized exploration playground. For its 11th edition, the festival dedicated to scientific and environmental films returns to the Eden Theatre with more than twenty documentaries, thirteen of which are in competition. From the Andes to Greenland, from volcanoes to the depths of space, the program invites us to see the planet differently, in the company of filmmakers, researchers, and explorers.
Among the guests, Antoine de Maximy, Olivier Weber, and several specialists in oceans, space, and the animal world will extend the screenings with discussions. But Lumexplore also extends beyond the theater: workshops, virtual reality experiences, exhibitions, and visits to two expedition ships will take place in various locations throughout La Ciotat. New this year, the "Explorers' Tea" will give women the opportunity each evening to share their field adventures.
