Dégaby Island celebrates the equinox!

After several months of winter break, theDegaby Island It is gradually awakening from its slumber and preparing to welcome the return of warmer weather. Off the coast of Marseille, temperatures are rising, the light is changing, and the sea is gradually regaining the colors of spring.

To mark this period of renewal, the island is offering two events that invite visitors to enjoy its space. before the excitement of the season : a special moment where the island remains peaceful, almost secret, and where gastronomy, music and the sea horizon meet.

Saturday, March 14: Celebrating the sea

On March 14th, the Île Degaby bar reopens with a menu largely inspired by seafood. On the terrace, by the water or relaxing on a deckchair, visitors can share various dishes: white fish ceviche, oysters flavored with sea fennel, flame-grilled octopus, roasted sea bass accompanied by a crab soup, sardine fritters or crispy panisse.

A selection of wines with briny notes will accompany this moment, punctuated by the jazz of the band The Yellbowswhose sounds will blend with the sound of the waves.

Saturday, March 21: Celebrating the equinox

For the spring equinox, the island will host a luncheon conceived collaboratively by Emmanuel Perrodinchief historian, and Sébastien Dugast, chef of Île Degaby. Around a large, convivial table, they will offer a menu inspired by the Tarot of Marseilles.

Placed under the symbol of TemperanceThis culinary encounter explores the balance between contrasts: complementary ingredients, gentle cooking methods, broths, infusions, and floral waters. A meal conceived as a transition to the new season, between sea, wind, and rediscovered light.
The threesome Gacha Empega will accompany this moment with a repertoire of traditional Provençal and Occitan songs.
