There's nothing quite like viewing the floating city through the eyes of the 18th-century Venetian veduta masters . A golden age of Venetian landscape painting, to be explored through some thirty canvases selected by Cesare Lampronti at his gallery in Monaco. It all begins with Carlevarijs, a pioneer of the genre who scrutinized every architectural detail. The exhibition also features works by Canaletto, the undisputed master of picturesque light, as well as his nephew Bellotto, Guardi with his vibrant brushstrokes, and Marieschi, who loved to incorporate imaginary architectural elements into his paintings. For lovers of historical canvases, it's a journey between architectural magnificence and the atmospheric dissolution of colors in the sky and water.
