Young, handsome, bold. At eighteen, Arthur Doux went to the ends of the earth, to Melbourne, to study business and management. There, he met Eric Plançon, an aeronautical engineer three years his senior, who, passionate about the sea, earned his living giving kitesurfing lessons. At the end of the university year, a beautiful two-month trip of relaxation, scuba diving, and kitesurfing that they undertook in Asia united them in a beautiful friendship. The young Arthur went to refine his craft as a jeweler with Edouard Genton in Strasbourg while Eric earned his living as a water sports instructor. Three years later, Arthur returned to Avignon to live with his father Richard, at the head of Joaillerie Doux, a successful business with four boutiques and a collaboration in Nîmes. A car enthusiast, like his father Richard, Arthur nevertheless decided to support the oceans, inspired by his friend Eric. Partnering with the Oceanic Global NGO, whose mission is to manage ocean waste, and supported by the highly selective watch brand HYT, they are planning a hydrofoil crossing, which Eric will attempt on his small machine, to benefit the NGO. While waiting for the right weather window, they are multiplying their actions, and Arthur is actively promoting the event. The date is set for 2020.
