We couldn’t imagine how he could top his Bistrot d’Antoine and Bar des Oiseaux, but yet again the famous Nice restaurateur has proved us wrong! In partnership with Lois Guenzati (of Le Comptoir du Marché), Crespo has just opened a seafood-only eatery, again in Old Nice, where, still the visionary and more attached than ever to his take on bistronomy, he’s serving up his winning recipe of board menu, ultra-fresh ingredients and a decor perfectly suited to his cooking’s marine mindset (blue and white, cement tiles, mosaics). Whitebait, Fines de Claire oysters, scallop ceviche (the house speciality), sword fish and white fish share the board with scad tartare, flying-fish roe, cauliflower purée and confit lemon, and minute-smoked trout a la plancha. Enjoy from noon to 10pm; no bookings.
