The guestrooms at the Petit Nice have been completely redesigned by architect Rudy Ricciotti and painter Gérard Traquandi, with the Mediterranean as sole obsession. Its light, its sea air and its energy flow through the spacious rooms. Textures and colours glorify the horizon in pared-back simplicity. The marbled stone floors conjure up the calanques, the sand-coloured walls contrast with the wood of the furniture and the rugs, in natural tones, suggest a voluptuous contact. Gérard Traquandi’s wall paintings suggest flowers, sculptures and tree branches moving in a fluid rhythm like the ebb and flow of the sea below.
