IMS Shipyard by Toulon Bay was founded in 1987 to build aluminium passenger transport vessels. Since 1992 it has focused mainly on repair and refit; it has been owned by the French holding company NEPTEAM since 2011.

The shipyard’s figures are impressive. It boasts a total area of 130,000m² including 77,000m² of quay, a 50,000m² basin with round-the-clock security seven days a week, 20,000m² of sheds with heights up to 15m, and 3000m² of offices and workshops. It offers 25 floating berths (with up to 10m of draught), 100 moorings for 20m to 80m yachts and 75 dry berths including 35 in the sheds. And, last but not least, €20 million in sales in 2015.
This outstanding yacht centre consists of two sites just 5km apart. Between them, IMS 300 and IMS 700 offer everything super-yacht owners and captains could wish for. Its discerning customers include Palmer Johnson (USA), Heesen Yachts (Holland), Couach (Nepteam group, France) and Sunseeker (UK). Since the creation of IMS 700 two years ago on the site of the old Saint-Mandrier naval air station, IMS Shipyard can accommodate five times as many boats as before, including bigger and heavier ones (300 to 670 tonnes) and can implement a year-round work plan, since the shipyard now has its own lifting gear.
A large section of the site now houses a high-quality crew quarter equipped with sports hall, fitness room, lounge space with TV screen accessing international programmes, high-speed optical fibre Wi-Fi connection, and a function room with a 200-person capacity. For VIP clients there is a panoramic lounge at the top of the tower, which is a listed historic monument.
