La Part des Anges opened more than 20 years ago as a drinking and eating cellar in the Wilson district of Nice. Olivier Labarde was the first to develop this concept, less static than a wine cellar. The establishment was voted "Cellar of the Year" last January by the Revue du Vin de France, a great accolade! Love of wine has been an ever-present part of his life. He claims to have been immersed in this world within his epicurean family. A story of passion that led to him pursuing a viticulture course. He then started by working in bistros and wine cellars in Paris and then Nice before opening his own wine trading business and expounding his personal philosophy. With more than 300 different wines, the wine merchant has chosen to focus on natural wines from independent winemakers committed to organic and biodynamic agriculture. In the same spirit, he offers a short menu prepared with quality products from local producers. For him, these choices are anything but a trend. They are a commitment and a way of life that he himself adopts. Olivier has created this place around conviviality and sharing: wine and "good food" are on the menu every day, not forgetting the evenings with sometimes atypical themes like Oysters and Sake.
