Italian firm Baldinini has been renowned for its handmade shoes for over a century, its boundless creativity earning a faithful following among fine footwear aficionados.
It all began in 1910 on Italy’s Adriatic coast, where the Baldinini family set up its first shop and workshop. The firm was soon renowned for its attention to detail and a timeless style that handmade footwear aficionados loved. Since then, each generation of the family has taken up the flame. In 1970 the third generation in the person of Gimmi Baldinini, setting out to conquer the world, adopted a high-fashion approach. That move was rewarded in 1974, when a mule launched by the brand sent shockwaves round the fashion world; the firm made 500 pairs a day by hand, restructuring and modernising its workshops in the process. Today, Baldinini’s HQ in San Mauro Pascoli covers thousands of square metres. As well as the design studios, workshops and sales space it includes a café and a restaurant frequented by customers coming from all over the world to pick up a nice pair of shoes or two.

From 1960s boots in red or white patent leather to sophisticated sneakers, heeled or floral-printed, and from derbies and stylish courts to sexy thigh boots, this collection has shoes for every woman, every style, every age and every diary date. And there’s a range of bags to match as well as yachting shoes, loafers, belts and briefcases that will delight any dapper dandy-about-town.
